I appreciated it so will be back. Stayed here for 1 night, the hotel was excellent value and neat, had great views, incredible location near to many halal food restaurants. The breakfast was more than adequate and very very good and well. All the staff was very, very nice and welcoming, settled my issues. Location: the venue was short walk to Close to city center, Cologne and Very near the train station...

The location of the hotel is perfect: main train station in 5 min., city center in 10 min. by foot. I also liked the breakfast very much. And the stuff was very kind and helpful and there is a 24 h reception - very nice for late arrival!
The bed was a bit too soft and worn out. And because of the location the window had to be shut (some noise from the train station), but that was okay for me.

Charming stays with a good breakfast
Woke up to the aroma of a good breakfast filled with quality options. The room wassuper clean and cozy, and the staff's warmth.
The exterior looked a bit worn and the noise from the nearby road started early in the morning.

I had a pleasant stay with a lovely breakfast featuring local charcuterie and fresh juices. The room was clean and a nice size, though a bit dated. I'd stay again!

Location is great, just 5 minutes walk from main train station and cathedral. Breakfast is great.
No free wifi. Smoking smell on the room was terrible.

Everything is Ok, the breakfast is very good, but too noisy (especially at night) from the street because of the nearby road and railway. Even the closed window does not help a lot.

Incredibly inefficient late check-in machine!!! The parking rules were misleading, leading to unnecessary stress!!! The showers had persistent drainage issues, which indicate poor maintenance!!! Unclean room upon arrival deserves immediate attention!!!

Hotel Merian was well located being only a short distance from the main railway station .The hotel staff were very helpful and gave me a packed lunch instead of breakfast as I was leaving the hotel before breakfast was served. The drinks in the mini bar were reasonably priced.

Our group of 8 gentlemen all enjoyed to stay at Merian. Location is perfect and rooms very quiet although roads and railroad are close to the hotel. Breakfast was more than enough.
